Casual Funeral Operative Required:-

B. Gibbs Funeral Services, is an independent Family Funeral Service, with Funeral Homes in Chard and Ilminster. We are privileged to support families in and around the neighbouring parishes of Chard and Ilminster and throughout Somerset during their time of bereavement. With our dedicated team, we pride ourselves on providing a high standard service to the families we look after, offering them peace of mind that their loved one will be looked after in a dignified and professional manner. 

​We are looking for a Casual Funeral Operative to join our team. 

• Based on a Zero Hour Contract.
• Uniform for Funeral Duties will be Supplied.

Requirements:

• To be Professional, calm, caring and have an empathetic nature at all times when supporting our families.
• Be of Smart appearance.
• To be able to deliver an excellent client services.
• Have a Good level of fitness, as the role involves heavy lifting duties.
• Hold A full UK manual driving license.​

Duties to include:

• Assisting with preparing and cleanliness of vehicles to a high standard.
• ​Be comfortable with the driving of large vehicles e.g our Hearse and Limousine.
• Participating in funeral service duties, to include driving of the Funeral Fleet, Pall Bearing, Taking of Names, Handing out of Service Sheets and be on hand to assist with other duties while supporting our families on the day.
• Be willing to be part of our out of hours On Call Rota to include bringing the deceased in to our care from place of death e.g. Private House, Nursing Home or Hospital.
• To include driving of company vehicles.
